Tickets are on sale now for Brent’s annual spring gala “A Taste of the Hill” and we are thrilled to invite the Brent Community and fellow friends and family to join us Saturday, March 30th at AJAX DC from 7:00 to 11:30 p.m. Besides superb small plates from local restaurants and wine pairings, the event features music, dancing and fabulous auction items such as vacation stays, dinner events , artwork, sporting events, and creative class baskets. The night is a wonderful opportunity to mingle with fellow parents, administration and teachers.

A selection process is under way to replace outgoing principal Peter Young. Three parents (and one alternate) will be selected to serve on the selection panel. Nominations for parent/guardian/caretaker are due by 8pm tonight, May 19th. Voting will take place on Monday and Tuesday. You can nominate yourself if you'd like. Nominating someone - or yourself - is easy! All you have to do is write a brief email that provides the nominees name and the grades of their children (and anticipated incoming Brent students). Then send the email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

A huge thank you to local business Bullfrog Bagels for their generosity in donating heaps of bagels, coffee and cream cheese for our teachers to enjoy on the first day of Teacher Appreciation week.

MAY 15-19 - SHOW YOUR LOVE!
Monday, May 15th is the start of Teacher Appreciation Week. It’s a chance to help your kids show their teachers why they are loved.

The Spring Concerts will be on May 10 for our ECE-1st grade musicians (PTA meeting following from 7-8 pm; childcare provided) and on May 11 for our 2nd-5th grade musicians. Both concerts will start promptly at 6 PM and students are asked to arrive at 5:30 PM on their respective evenings in concert white/black.
Did you pick out some uniform items at the used uniform table or want to donate to the program? You found the place to do it! All donations are given to the school to purchase uniforms for students in need.
