The meeting is open to the public. We will be having two important conversations this week that may be of interest to both parents of Brent students and to the community at large. First, we'll be discussing Brent's recent history of long waitlists for in-bounds families, its impact on our community, and what role, if any, the school should play in addressing the dynamic.
The Brent Elementary School PTA Board has heard several concerns regarding the recent changes made by the Springboard program. The PTA Board has begun a dialogue with Springboard to address these concerns. At the same time, we are also working to ensure Brent has a before and after care program in place that works for our families. The PTA Board has developed a short survey to attempt to quantify what the Brent community would like in their before and after school care program.
