Our Brent Banner Parade will be held tomorrow, October 6th beginning at 2:45 p.m. The Brent Banner Parade is intended as a student-driven and centered event during which class identities and a symbol of diversity and unity (the banner) are put on display for the student and faculty community.
This year, the Brent Banner Parade will be held outdoors so that we can share our pride within and beyond our community. Parents are welcome to attend and should follow these guidelines to make sure our students remain as the stars of the show:
- The parade will end on the blacktop. Please see map here to identify the parent viewing area (Parent Zones).
- Parents may also stand on the street side of the sidewalk along the route, but should NOT walk with classes, step into the parade route, or follow the last class. Please enter the blacktop only through the front gate.
- Pictures are fun to take, but supportive and joyous cheers are even more important. Classes will be announced as they enter the blacktop area and parents are encouraged to clap and cheer to recognize classroom communities.
- Remain in the identified parent area until the entire parade is complete and all classes have reached their parking spots. Early dismissal from the banner parade will not be permitted; if you need to pick up early, please do so prior to the start of the parade.
Because the day is full of student excitement and events, the October Principal’s Coffee has been postponed to NEXT Friday, October 13th from 8:30-10:00 a.m. in the main vestibule.
Sincerely,
Norah Lycknell
Principal
