EARLY CHILDHOOD-LEAD TEACHER: JULIA SADOWSKY
About
Julia Sadowsky earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Massachusetts,and later completed graduate studies at George Mason University, where she earned a Master’s degree in early childhood curriculum and instruction. Most recently, she received her doctoral degree in education from Johns Hopkins University, where she specialized in special education. Her research investigated the influence of peer attitudes toward disability on the social participation of students with disabilities in inclusion early childhood settings. This is Julia’s eighth year teaching early childhood at Brent in Classroom 108, and she loves collaborating with Brent’s amazing early childhood team. Julia is passionate about research-based practice and the Reggio Approach to teaching and learning. She believes in the power of productive play and finds joy in following the interests of the children on a unique path of learning each school year. Julia lives in the H Street Corridor with her husband Bardia and cat Dexter. She enjoys vegetarian cooking, shopping, reading mystery novels, video-editing and watching football on Sundays. Go Pats! |
