MATH INSTRUCTIONAL COACH: WHITNEY PAXSON
I was born and raised on Capitol Hill, moving to Pennsylvania to attend Haverford College, where I earned a B.A. in Mathematics with a minor in Education. My husband, Thomas, and I lived in Chester County, PA for many years where I earned a M.Ed. in Exceptional Children and Youth from the University of Delaware and taught both in a private, separate day school, and in a public middle school in Maryland.
Since our return to DC, we have lived on Capitol Hill with our children, Will (10), Madeline (7), and Nora (5). They have all attended Brent and the school community has truly become our village!
In my free time, I enjoy running, cooking, and reading and look forward to sharing a little bit of each of those hobbies with students this year!
